People in San Francisco don't dress up. I’m a simple woman peace heart weed shirtWhen I go to a nice restaurant for dinner, I like to put on a nice dress and heels. This is not done. Girls and guys (especially guys) get away with showing up at nice restaurants and events in T-shirts, jeans, and sneakers all the time. For many San Franciscans, "dressing up" entails putting on their "nice" sneakers. It is the norm and, in my opinion, offensive.
